"Boudoir's Rejuvination"
Cover Story | Page 34
Written by: Jesika Contepomi
Photography by: Kallisto Destiny

AVENUE revisits the design house of Boudoir by sisters Vitabela Dubrovna and Precious Restless.  Oh, how the world of fashion has changed for these sisters since our last cover interview in November of 2010.  As stated before, few designers in Second Life® can boast designing success in both worlds. Boudoir happens to be one of the few that can not only boast this, but they have the published success in both worlds to show for it.

"Redefining Sexy"

There’s always that one dress that’s hidden in the back of your closet. It’s not your everyday dress, and it’s definitely not formalwear. And while it may be all the way in the back, you never forget about “that dress.” You only pull it out for those special times. Because, in the words of Beyonce, it’s your “freakum dress.” And while you may have your favorite designers for certain looks, there’s only one who can bring out the perfect mix of maximum sex appeal with just the right amount of class. You know the name. You know the brand. And you know the feeling that wearing that dress gives you. You feel every bit of the word “sexy.” And you have none other than Eboni Khan to thank for bringing out the Hucci in you.

You’ve seen her face. You know her name…even if you still can’t pronounce it correctly. (It’s “Vicky Jay” for those of you who are still having trouble.) But more importantly, you know of her style. A staple in the blogger community, this month’s chosen Model of the Month is a fashion force to be reckoned with. While there is so much to learn, this month, we touch just the surface as we sit down with her to discuss her Second Life® modeling career. Without any further introduction, we present Vikeejeah Xevion.

Ponchos! Yep, that’s right you heard me. Long gone are the days of dressing as a cowboy in order to justify wearing a poncho. For some time now ponchos have been considered a fashion item for the ladies, but not anymore; if you're brave enough to venture out in one, here are a few styles to give you some ideas of how to "man up" a poncho for the winter. Come on lads, lets show the ladies that we can carry off a poncho just as well. So, next time you go shopping, why not "picka pucka poncho" and see what you can come up with.

I remember hearing about Keira Seerose and CHIC Management when the Black and Blue Fair started during the summer of last year. I loved the concept of it: raising awareness about mental illnesses while shopping. It was a creative concept that garnered a lot of attention. Now CHIC has grown into a business that gets bigger and bigger with each event. The events that Seerose and her team put on always amaze as each one gets better and better.

They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend. If that is true then for this girl, clothes and shoes are a close second. I have to admit that I have not always been a shoe girl in real life or in my Second Life®, but they are inching their way into my heart, heel by heel. For that I am thankful because there are some amazingly gorgeous shoes out there, and when I put them on my feet, I feel sexy from head to toe. Nardya Rousselot of the famous NX-Nardcotix brand creates beautiful high quality shoes as well as one-of-a-kind clothing.

Belleza means beauty in Spanish and it so accurately reflects the work of Tricky Boucher and his store, Belleza Skins. With over 36,000 group members currently, Belleza Skins is one of the most successful stores in Second Life®, and a good reason is because all of their skins are amazingly realistic and people love it. “Wonderful creations come in every collection, and their skins are fantastic,” says Honey Endrizzi, one of those 36,000 fans of Belleza.

One stop in Petalos Clary’s BaObA hat boutique and you may think that you have died and gone to millinery heaven. The entire shop is filled with the most deliciously decadent designs one can imagine. For any serious fashionista, the urge to spend bucket loads of Lindens™ will be irresistible and you will leave poor but deliriously happy!

The Paulse of Fashion - AVENUE Magazine

Graced on the October Cover of AVENUE Magazine was none other then designer Faint Paulse. Known for her unique and cutting edge designs Faint continues to mesmerize the fashion world with each season's release.

AVENUE brings you the Paulse of Fashion in it's October Issue.

"The Paulse of Fashion"
Cover Story | Page 34
Written by Augusta Carver & Photography by Blackliquid Tokyoska

As a designer, Faint Paulse is known for her creative prowess and creating exceptional and sometimes even unconventional designs. She challenges the notions of what is beautiful and chic. When you hear the name Ladies Who Lunch, the first things that should come to mind are carefully detailed and realistic textures, bold colors, wickedly sinful shoes, and, of course, high quality styles. Paulse is a talented designer who could just as easily be creating art as fashion. When asked about her inspirations for designing in SL, Paulse simply replies: “Anything and everything. It depends. In the beginning, I did a lot of custom work, so I was just making things to fill orders. It began monopolizing my time, and I wanted to do more of what I wanted to do, so I slowly got away from it. Now, I flip through fashion magazines when I'm in line at the supermarket or online. Sometimes it's a photo, sometimes it's a shape or a concept. It doesn't matter.”

"R.icielli"
Fashion Icon | Page 46
Written by ShaiLi Alex & Photography by Kallisto Destiny

R.icielli is one of the most famous stores in Second Life® and it is present in many projects and events related to virtual fashion, mainly because their products are so versatile and varied enough to please even the most diverse types of taste. There are customers of all types, from the most fashionable fashionistas who like to produce photographic essays, to the most basic consumers that are buying just for daily use. “That makes us very happy, because it shows how much people love and approve of our work,” says Fhara Ricielli, owner and designer of R.icielli. “To be honest, we did not have a target audience exactly. What we wanted was to get the majority of residents to know and love our store...and we did.”

Styled Trends - AVENUE's August Issue

AVENUE Magazine brings yet again another month of Styling Trends. See these end of season looks with a glimpse into what the fall fashion market may have in store.

"Harem Girl"

It's no secret that my first ever real "job" in Second Life® was at Club Habibi, a Middle Eastern club that is still around. Club Habibi opened its doors in June of 2007, when I was barely a month old, and I worked there as a belly dancer and hostess for about five months. I loved that job because it was so much fun; I got to meet interesting people and even picked up some sweet Arabic words from the people that visited. But my most favorite thing about that job was the uniform. I had to wear silks: beautiful, colorful and oh-so-sexy.

"Hair So Fair"

Hair Fair is one of my favorite times of the year in Second Life®; it makes me absolutely giddy with excitement. Each year, I wait patiently in anticipation to see what our most talented content creators will bring. This year was phenomenal, and my inventory is groaning from all of the new hair purchases. The hairs that really stood out were the more avant-garde and couture styles. My column for August showcases my four favorites.
