The AVENUE runway came to life with plenty of fierce competition during the last year as contestants from all over the grid competed for the opportunity to become the face of Couture AVENUE by entering the Couture AVENUE Look 2011 Contest. Each month, contest hopefuls submitted photograph entries displaying their stunning styles created from designs from some of Second Life®’s most talented designers. Please join AVENUE as we celebrate the selection of our two talented and charismatic winners, Diconay Boa and Harsch Sharktooth.

They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend. If that is true then for this girl, clothes and shoes are a close second. I have to admit that I have not always been a shoe girl in real life or in my Second Life®, but they are inching their way into my heart, heel by heel. For that I am thankful because there are some amazingly gorgeous shoes out there, and when I put them on my feet, I feel sexy from head to toe. Nardya Rousselot of the famous NX-Nardcotix brand creates beautiful high quality shoes as well as one-of-a-kind clothing.

Belleza means beauty in Spanish and it so accurately reflects the work of Tricky Boucher and his store, Belleza Skins. With over 36,000 group members currently, Belleza Skins is one of the most successful stores in Second Life®, and a good reason is because all of their skins are amazingly realistic and people love it. “Wonderful creations come in every collection, and their skins are fantastic,” says Honey Endrizzi, one of those 36,000 fans of Belleza.

One stop in Petalos Clary’s BaObA hat boutique and you may think that you have died and gone to millinery heaven. The entire shop is filled with the most deliciously decadent designs one can imagine. For any serious fashionista, the urge to spend bucket loads of Lindens™ will be irresistible and you will leave poor but deliriously happy!

The Paulse of Fashion - AVENUE Magazine

Graced on the October Cover of AVENUE Magazine was none other then designer Faint Paulse. Known for her unique and cutting edge designs Faint continues to mesmerize the fashion world with each season's release.

AVENUE brings you the Paulse of Fashion in it's October Issue.

As a designer, Faint Paulse is known for her creative prowess and creating exceptional and sometimes even unconventional designs. She challenges the notions of what is beautiful and chic. When you hear the name Ladies Who Lunch, the first things that should come to mind are carefully detailed and realistic textures, bold colors, wickedly sinful shoes, and, of course, high quality styles. Paulse is a talented designer who could just as easily be creating art as fashion. When asked about her inspirations for designing in SL, Paulse simply replies: “Anything and everything. It depends. In the beginning, I did a lot of custom work, so I was just making things to fill orders. It began monopolizing my time, and I wanted to do more of what I wanted to do, so I slowly got away from it. Now, I flip through fashion magazines when I'm in line at the supermarket or online. Sometimes it's a photo, sometimes it's a shape or a concept. It doesn't matter.”

R.icielli is one of the most famous stores in Second Life® and it is present in many projects and events related to virtual fashion, mainly because their products are so versatile and varied enough to please even the most diverse types of taste. There are customers of all types, from the most fashionable fashionistas who like to produce photographic essays, to the most basic consumers that are buying just for daily use. “That makes us very happy, because it shows how much people love and approve of our work,” says Fhara Ricielli, owner and designer of R.icielli. “To be honest, we did not have a target audience exactly. What we wanted was to get the majority of residents to know and love our store...and we did.”

Exploration around the grid should be done with all our senses. With so many various art forms to grasp always keep an open mind and ear to the latest and greatest creative minds. AVENUE is proud to feature many creative talents each month.

"LISP Bazaar"

LISP Bazaar is a magnificent decorations and furniture store, tastefully created by Pandora Popstar. The store is composed of several rooms of decorated furniture that are ideal for all tastes, and excellent for people who appreciate the little details that always give a touch of charm and elegance. Each creation has something very special; a certain charm that makes us want to buy the whole store. Each decoration seems a work of art; unique, vivid colors that give harmony to the environment. Sitting for an interview, Pandora gave me more details about her personal life and the creation of LISP Bazaar. Read along and enjoy.

"Country club living at its finest"
Sim Review | Page 208
Written by Sensuous Soulstar & Photography by Brie Wonder

Luxury. Class. Immaculate living. Words that most equate with wealth and fortune. Yet, what if you could have these things without having the wealth? What if you could live in luxury without belonging to the upper echelon, but instead live with them? And what if you could do all of these things at some of the most reasonable prices in Second Life®?

"Lunamaruna: Dr. Seuss meets Van Gogh"

Written by Sensuous Soulstar & Photography by Annough Lykin

The creatively ingenious writer known as Dr. Seuss once surmised: “I like nonsense; it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living. It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope, which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities.” And while this piece isn’t dedicated to Dr. Seuss, it is a salute to fantasy, to looking through the wrong end of a telescope and creating greatness. It is a salute to the creative geniuses that think beyond two-dimensional worlds and use their imagination, immense talent and creativity to bring to life a world of fantasy, a world of fun, and a world that brings a smile to everyone who passes.

"Music by Quanah: a teleport to euphoria"
Music Review | Page 270

Quanah, known only by his first name, has taken the Second Life® live music scene by storm. Recently, some of the AVENUE staff and I had the amazing privilege to be in attendance at his debut show at The Village's Club Graffiti, and I must say, you honestly couldn't help but be mesmerized by his talent.

"Inside the mind of Iono Allen"
Media Mojo | Page 284
Written by Sensuous Soulstar & Photography by Tillie Ariantho

He is a man who needs no introduction. His work speaks for itself. He creates from his inspirations and turns art and installations into leading characters in his film. He is Iono Allen. To call him just a machinamator would be an understatement. He is a visionary who manages to turn art into a character in his film, whose only lines are the images that create stories in the viewer. Join AVENUE as we take a moment to explore the mind behind such astounding films as “Birth,” “A Question of Honor,” and his latest film, “The Red Zone.”
