From all walks of life, all facets of creativity and from around the world, SL is the place to experience the best life has to offer - fashion wise. AVENUE is proud to be at the forefront with these passionate creators and share with our readers their inspiration and challenges. This month we were honored to be a part of the My Precious Queen Contest Finale, truly one of the most amazing couture designer contests on the grid. As summer heats up, so has the My Precious Summer Queen Contest, culminating in the long-awaited selection of the new face to represent Agnes Finney’s My Precious Design House. Each month, stylistas from all over the grid submit their photographs with the hope of being selected one of the three monthly winners who will advance to the final event. After six months of fierce competition, Elle Ahren was chosen as the new My Precious Summer Queen 2011.

My Precious Princess' - AVENUE Magazine May 2011

Over the last several years, Agnes Finney, the creator of My Precious Design House, has established herself as one of the most sought after designers when it comes to beautifully-made, elegant designs in ladies formalwear and cocktail designs in the Second Life® grid. In 2009, Ms. Finney began the My Precious Queen contest, an opportunity for individuals who embody the ideals of the brand to compete to become the face of My Precious, and the royal ambassador for the design house to serve as a representative on the catwalk, in print advertising campaigns, and at various public events. My Precious is known for charm, class, and sophistication in design, so the one selected as My Precious Summer Queen this coming June will be chosen because she shares those qualities as well as a flair for unique and refined styling that enhances the beauty of My Precious designs.

The current contest round will culminate in the selection of the My Precious Summer Queen 2011, a lucky lady who will have quite a journey ahead of her. In addition to the prestigious title, the winner will receive cash prizes, a voucher for the AVENUE Models Academy, sponsored gifts and gift cards, and a photo shoot for AVENUE Magazine. She will also have the opportunity to serve as the hostess of Behind the Throne, (link: http://mypreciousroyalty.blogspot.com) a blog in which she will highlight My Precious designs and events from her reign.

With April’s selections behind us, there is only one month left in what has been shaping up to be an exciting competition. AVENUE Magazine is proud to present the three finalists chosen for the month of April. Read on as we introduce you to Eliza Mint, Sabine Mortenwold, and Vivienne Coppola.

As spring begins to blossom around many of us in different parts of the world, those who are following the annual My Precious Queen Contest can see it continue to bloom and grow. We find ourselves at the midway mark of the first competition of 2011. With January and February behind us, six finalists have already been chosen, and March presents us with three new hopeful contenders that join the journey to the June crowning of My Precious Summer Queen 2011. The winner of this semi-annual contest will have the great honor of representing Agnes Finney's My Precious Design House, a high fashion establishment known for the creation of some of the most elegant and sophisticated gowns and ladies formalwear on the grid.

Fashion Decadence

The November issue of AVENUE Magazine is filled with pages full of fashion decadence. If you haven't made time to indulge yourself with one of our most memorable issues to date, then you are missing out on a real treat. The issue features the fashions of several amazing SL designers including Alatiel Malies, AlexanderHunter Rembrandt, and a little something special from Agnes Finney.

The talented Alatiel Malies is known for her chic, classic casual styles. However her brand, Alatiel Fashions, is probably most likely recognized for producing some of the most beautiful gowns in SL. You'll find some of her lovely fall creations in the Fashion Spread section.

The fall fashions of AlexanderHunter Couture appear to be greatly inspired by the vivid colors associated with fall and range from soft feminine ensembles to dapper designs for the fashion savvy gents. This gifted designer doesn't just make clothes, he designs entire looks including skins and shoes.

Finally, the issue features Part 1 of the series on the lovely ladies vying for the title of My Precious Queen, a contest developed by none other than Agnes Finney. AVENUE Magazine is a proud sponsor of the contest and the lucky winner will receive a scholarship to the AVENUE Models Academy in addition to many other great prizes.
