A new home for AVENUE

April 4th was a date to celebrate for everybody at AVENUE as it marked the day of the opening of AVENUE's new sim.  AVENUE is now located in a self named sim at GOL, the group of sims stemming from the visionary creativity of GOL founder, Dakota Neumann.

The sim was created and designed by Dakota in partnership with AVENUE's founder & CEO Rusch Raymaker, a perfect combination of fashion, lifestyle and entertainment.


The opening of the AVENUE sim is another milestone for this energetic company, and certainly Rusch Raymaker and her team won't fail to deliver once again what they promise, always with the utmost professionalism and far-sightedness.

AVENUE sim features the presence of several of the most celebrated fashion designers in SL - Baiastice, Chantkare, CheerNo, LeeZu!, Lelutka, LG Concept, Nicky Ree and Stylissimo all located in the central part of the sim called Couture AVENUE, set in an elegant, modern and yet tropical surrounding.  In a separate building is located AVENUE's main quarter with its stylish and modern offices, set perfectly in harmony with the rest of the sim.



The opening of AVENUE sim at Gol last night was inaugurated with a grand fashion show showcasing the biggest names of SL Couture, Baiastice, Chantkare, CheerNo, LeeZu, Lelutka, LG Concept, Nicky Ree and Stylissimo.  Over 70 people fought lag to attend this impressiVE show held at AVENUE's brand new runway.

The fashion show was then followed by a "wandering" party that was held first at AVENUE's The A Lounge then it was moved to the neighbouring Sim of Gol 5 where GOLden Shopping mall is located.

The party was kept fun and entertaining thanks to the tunes played by GOL's own DJ Captain Clipper and once again fashionistas, designers and many curious avatars had the chance to dance and socialize on a day that will be remembered for a long time.

CheerNo Deuil Winter Collection

For men's fashion in Second Life, none are as alternative as CheerNo. He does not draw within the lines. He likes to get messy and it all comes together in a creative explosion of in your face style.

"Montage", his fall line released last month, brought forth colorful pieces woven through with childhood whimsy like lollipops, legos and cotton candy. The old adage real men wear pink has been redefined to include bright and vibrant yellows and stunning purples and blues.



With the release of his "Deuil" winter collection, which means "Mourning" in French. (Thank you Aris :D) A more somber line. Given its name this makes sense. However the boldness of the outfits cannot be missed. It gave me the impression of someone mourning but not at all ashamed to experience those emotions and let it be known. With a palette of silvers, whites and deep blacks, the clothes are fierce. Mixing in elements of popular icons such as Marilyn Monroe and even a bit of Glam Rock ala David Bowie.


Mortifera, a fearlessly sexy ensemble that includes a see thru black shirt with Marilyn Manson's image emblazoned on the chest and torso, bondage style bracelets and armbands, was a crowd pleaser. The HOMME Venus Dark skins created just for this show, added the finishing touch.

As always, CheerNo's pieces are perfect for mixing and matching. The black padded half jackets with hoods and ski pants, yes ski pants. Wool blazers, sequin patterned pants along with cleverly sculpted attachments truly enhance and deliver a real feel to the line.
